Camera versus eyes (WYS is often Not WYG)

Many times, "what you see" in your mind's eye is not "what you get" in the photograph you shoot of a particular scene because even the best professional camera "sees" the scene differently than your eyes. The visual discrepancies between what you see and what the camera sees need to be addressed in the following ways:

color balance
exposure adjustment
lens distortion
perspective and alignment
extraneous and unwanted detail

Correcting these problems requires extensive enhancement techniques which are substantially different skills than those needed for shooting the photographs. We're sincerely experts in utilizing these additional skills as we transform great photographs into stunning images. (Use the text links to read more detail.)
